Habib Senol

About

Habib Senol (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 1993 and 1999, respectively, both in electronics engineering. He received the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from I¸sık University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2006. Dr. Senol spent the academic year 2007–2008 with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Arizona State University, Tempe, USA, working on channel estimation and power optimization algorithms for Wireless Sensor Networks. He was recently on sabbatical leave as a Visiting Research Professor with Arizona State University during 2018–2019 academic year. His research interests include statistical signal processing techniques and their applications to wireless electrical/underwater acoustic/optical communication systems, estimation and equalization algorithms for wireless communications, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), multi-carrier communications for 5G and beyond wireless networks, and statistical machine learning.
